How does this file transfer work without a server?
This tool uses WebRTC technology to establish a direct, peer-to-peer (P2P) connection between your two devices. Your files and messages are never sent to a central server; they flow directly from your sender device to your receiver device.
Does this require an internet connection?
No! Once the initial connection is established, the transfer happens entirely over your Local Area Network (LAN). If you are on the same Wi-Fi, it works incredibly fast even if the internet goes down.
Are there any file size limits?
No. Because files are streamed directly between devices and not uploaded to any server, there are no artificial file size limits. You can transfer massive files instantly.
Is my data secure?
Yes. WebRTC connections are end-to-end encrypted by default. Since there is no intermediary server, no one else can intercept or view your files.

Why should I strip EXIF data?
When you take a photo with a smartphone, the exact GPS coordinates of where you took the photo are often embedded in the file. Stripping this data protects your privacy before sharing the photo on forums or social media.
